Kiernan Remodeling + Design, formerly known as John Kiernan Construction, Inc., was founded by John in 1989. John and Nancy worked together to build the Kiernan name and reputation, which are the foundations of our team's success. As the Kiernan name and reputation became more known in Manatee County, repeat clients, referrals, and phone calls increased year by year. The need for quality, professional remodeling services only became clearer, and John and Nancy stepped up to the challenge. In 2003, Ben DePrenger, a long-time friend of the family, joined them and worked with them to bring the unique nature of Remodeling into focus.

We believe that our clients deserve the highest levels of service, quality, and reliability from their home remodeling company. Remodeling requires a unique design solution for each family in each home. Quality remodeling requires partnering with established suppliers, respectable trades, and other competent professionals. A successful Remodeling contractor is one that is able to communicate, coordinate, and build in a timely and budget-conscious manner, and that continues to respond to and serve the needs of each client individually.

In 2005 our company was highlighted in the Bradenton Herald, and named one of the Top 50 remodeling contractors in the country by Remodeling Magazine. Most recently, we were named as a finalist for the Manatee County’s Small Business of The Year and we are listed every year as one of the Top 500 Remodelers by Qualified Remodeler Magazine.
